Frankie O'Malley, Private Eye, is on surveillance. Her client wants the goods on her errant husband. Following him, getting pictures of his exploits with other women: piece of cake. That is, until one of her street people, an informant named Fred Burke, turns up dead. And the day before, Frankie glimpses her guardian spirit, a little girl she calls Rosy, in close proximity with, yeah, Fred Burke.

What darkness surrounds beautiful Drury Lane? Frankie peels back the underbelly of those around her, finding danger in their secrets to discover who is killing innocent street people. Can she find the answer before those close to her heart fall victim to strange treachery?

Synopsis

A private eye on a routine case discovers there is a much deeper evil lurking below the surface. Former maverick cop Frankie O'Malley discovers one of her street informants dead on a park bench, being investigated by the man who moved out of her life, and into her job. Frankie is pulled inexorably into the case as she discovers the connection between her routine case and the deaths of her street informants. As the threads of the mystery evolve, her father becomes entwined. She reconnects with her former partner, but finds that her past holds the key to uncovering the truth.
